2011 Strawberry Festival Arts & Crafts

We’re hard at work on the  annual Strawberry Festival and sincerely hope you will be a part of the excitement at the historic
Lane Place in Crawfordsville.
Historic Lane Place will be decked out at its finest with approximately 100 arts and crafts booths, around the clock entertainment and lots of food vendors.  This year the festival will present on Friday Night, the 80's sounds of Healing Sixes. Saturday night will feature Bluegrass Music's Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. We are also proud to present the auto show with over 200 entries, a Corvette Show, antique tractor show, the ever-popular children’s area with games and entertainment, the 4K Strawberry Stroll, and a tennis tourney.

Please take a few moments to review the following guidelines for this year’s festival.

Dress Code:  Presentable shorts or jeans or slacks, shirt and shoes.

Mandatory participation hours for the Festival are:
                           Friday             11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
                                    Saturday        10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
                                    Sunday          10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We prefer handcrafted items, but all items must be at least partially handmade.  Please bring new items to the festival this year…many booths have the same items each year and the response from the public has not been favorable.  The public expects to see new items each year, and new items would certainly have a better chance of selling.

 No commercial products please.

Each booth space (10’x10’) is $90.00 (non-refundable) for the weekend.

Electricity is available for an additional $10.  You must supply your own heavy-duty extension cord.

Everyone must stay open until darkness falls and Sunday until 5:00 p.m.

In the event of inclement weather, the festival committee will determine the hours to stay open.

Tents only will be allowed to be set-up on Thursday evening, 4:00 to dusk. (Security will not be provided).

Set-up Friday must be done by 11:00 a.m.  No set up will be allowed during festival hours.

Vehicles used for unloading merchandise must be moved from the street before the festival begins each day.

We ask that there be no tear down of booths before Sunday at 5:00 p.m.  If you do not plan to spend the entire weekend at the festival, please do not submit an application.

If this is your first year to enter, we request that you submit three (3) photos of your work with the application fee.  Any new application without photos will not be considered.

All applications must be received no later than April 30, 2011.  Any applications postmarked after that date may not be considered.

Confirmations or regrets will be mailed no later than May 9, 2011.

The festival committee will include with your confirmation a map with your booth location identified.  If you are a returning vendor from last year, we will try to place you as close to your previous location as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to  call and leave a message at the numbers listed below and I will return your call as promptly as possible.

So come on, you are just a self addressed stamped envelope and an application away from being part of the action. Print your application and send it to Patti Perkins, 219 South Green Street, Crawfordsville, IN 47933 We are looking forward to seeing you in June!
