Four Mile Run
Calling all runners! It's the annual Strawberry Festival 4 Mile Run. Any male/female runner in good physical condition, is eligible. You will check in at the City Building on Saturday, June 14 from 6:30 am to 7:30 am at the race headquarters in front of the City Hall, located at the intersection of North Water Street and East Pike Street. Runners will go West on Main Street to Vine Street, South on Vine Street to Wabash Avenue, West on Wabash Avenue to Schenck Road, South on Schenck Road to Big Four Arch Road, West on Big Four Arch Road to the cone in the road, and then East on Big Four Arch Road and Jennison Street to Grant Avenue, North on Grant Avenue to Pike Street, and finally East on Pike Street to Water Street. (One major upgrade at about 2.4 miles, where Big Four Arch Road meets Jennison.) The running course will close 45 minutes after the start of the 4-Mile race.
Here is your chance to earn an award for your effort. Overall Male and Female top three finishers will receive $75, $50, and $25 awards respectively. Each, 4-Mile race, division first place finisher will receive a $10 award. Over $450 in prize money available. Each 4-mile competitor that completes the course in 40 minutes, or less, will receive an Official CHASE Strawberry Festival Road Race t-shirt, at the conclusion, for their effort. Strawberry Festival Softball Tournament
This event will be held the weekend of June
13, 14, and 15. The
games begin at 6:30 pm Friday and will end around 6:00 pm Sunday at Welliever
and Elston Park Fields. This year's Strawberry Festival Tournament is an NSA
Qualifier. It will be Men's "A -B -C" / Men's "D - E" Co-ed
"Open" tournaments. Come on out and support the team of your choice or grab a mitt and
get in the game. Call
